Confucius (551 BC – 479 BC) was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher. His teachings, preserved in the Analects, focused on creating ethical models of family and public interaction and setting educational standards. Throughout history, Confucius is widely considered as one of the most important and influential individuals in affecting the lives of humanity.
